Our very own senior escrow officer, Jonie Alden, was nominated for the 2016 Arizona Journal of Real Estate & Business Awards for Escrow Office of Year.
The awards took place on April 27, 2016 at the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business, and honored individuals in eleven categories who’ve made an impact in the Valley.
Jonie has worked in the title industry for more than 40 years, having built her career providing realtors, builders, mortgage brokers and their clients with her detailed attention. Prior to joining Landmark Title, Jonie spent more than 20 years as the escrow officer for Pulte Homes, and she continues to bring her profound experience in residential closing transactions to the residential real estate community and Landmark Title’s clients.
What’s her one tip on maintaining success?
“In my line of work – communication,” Jonie said, “I focus on listening to my clients and all parties involved in a transaction, patiently addressing each party’s needs and explaining and actively ensuring an understanding of all aspects of the closing process.
“Working for 40+ years in this industry, I’ve learned that nothing is more important.”
Jonie is just as active in the industry outside of the office. She’s a member of Central Phoenix Women, a networking and connections-based group of professionals who meet on a monthly basis. Every six weeks, Jonie hosts agents with a passion to share and learn in a focus group setting. She brings in a variety of industry speakers to enlighten the group with valuable business and industry information. These events also offer a friendly, professional forum for networking and developing friendships.
Outside of work, Jonie has a long time passion for animals. She’s personally been involved and supported no-kill shelters for decades – including HALO.
“Supporting shelters and groups that house and protect mistreated and abandoned pets is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.”
Award or no award, Jonie is always a winner in our eyes.
